TAGOR Spring Series 2021

Fibre Arts Network (FAN) Circles and Lines Exhibition – Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 – 1:00pm to 2:30pm PST

The Fibre Art Network (FAN) is a co-operative of self-defined artists based in
Western Canada. The group is committed to promoting fibre as an art form and each other as artists.

Each piece in this exhibition is a personal interpretation of the theme based on the artist’s vision and must represent circles and lines. From the seashore to heavenly constellations, from childhood memories to abstract visions, this theme brought out the best in each artist.

“An Iceland Narrative” with Susan Purney Mark – Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 – 1:00pm to 2:30 pm PDT

Noted BC Artist Susan Purney Mark has spent the last 20 years learning, experimenting and finally teaching a variety of surface design techniques. In April 2019 she attended a month-long textile focused residency at the Icelandic Textile Centre in Blondúös, Iceland.

Attend by Zoom for the unique “fire & ice” landscapes that inspired her work. Hear about the unique country that is incredibly supportive of the arts, and see her textile art inspired by this time.

Fibre Arts Network (FAN) From a Tiney Seed Exhibition – Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 – 1:00pm to 2:30pm PDT

The Fibre Art Network (FAN) is a co-operative of self-defined artists based in Western Canada. The group is committed to promoting fibre as an art form and each other as artists.

Each piece is a personal interpretation of the theme based on the artist’s vision. For example, these art quilts might involve the growth of an idea, an invention, or the evolution of a natural or manmade form. A perfect subject as we welcome back Spring!
