Comfort Quilts

As part of our community service involvement, members of Boundary Bay Quilters’ Guild participate in making lap size quilts which are given to the BC Cancer Agency – Surrey Memorial Hospital location. Volunteers working with patients then distribute the quilts on a random basis to people undergoing treatment.

Guild members make the quilts using their own supplies and on whatever time frame they are able to work with. They are then brought to our monthly guild meeting then passed along to our contact person at the agency.

We have received feedback from the agency as well as patients who have let us know how much receiving these quilts has helped and comforted them in their journey to feeling better.

The quilts should be approximately 48” X 59”. The guild has some batting available. We also have guild labels to sew on the back of the quilts.

Thank you to all the guild members that have been able to help with this endeavour…. your generosity really has made a difference in someone’s life.

If you have any questions please contact Patti Bried or Dawn Wilkins.
